Paisley, Scotland

Phoenix Sustainable Investments secured planning consent on a site in Paisley, Scotland for a 49.9MW Energy project in 2022. Working with the Distribution Network Operator and National Grid through the connection process, the site has secured an energisation date of 2025. Phoenix is currently in discussion with investors about the development of the site next year.

The planning permission process included active engagement sessions with the local community and stakeholders. Since the existing gas frame dates to 1890, and is a listed structure, collaboration with the local authority and Scottish Natural Heritage was essential to agree on planning conditions to preserve this heritage asset while allowing the development to progress.
