The Larkfleet Group has marked a momentous achievement in its commitment to community development and youth engagement as it proudly announces the opening of the long-awaited multi-wheeled sports facility in Bourne and its surrounding villages. The skate park, a symbol of perseverance and collaboration, was made possible through the generous contributions, one of which was the Larkfleet Group.
After over two decades of determined efforts and with the unwavering assistance the skate park officially welcomed its first enthusiastic users on May 26th. The facility has quickly become a hub of excitement and activity for the local community, offering an engaging and safe space for skateboarding, BMX biking, rollerblading, and other multi-wheeled sports.
In recognition of this significant achievement, the organisers have extended a warm invitation for local people to join in the festivities at the official opening event scheduled for Sunday 20th August 2023. The event promises a day of celebration and entertainment for all, symbolizing the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.
The LDC dance group, a vibrant and talented youth ensemble, will kick off the event with a captivating performance at approximately 10:30am, ensuring that attendees are entertained while eagerly anticipating the official proceedings. The entire community is welcome to partake in the festivities, which will feature thrilling skateboarding demonstrations, competitions, giveaways and an atmosphere of camaraderie.
This achievement stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between the Larkfleet Group, other local businesses and the community of Bourne. The skate park not only offers a dynamic recreational space for local youth to hone their skills and create lasting memories but also serves as a reminder of the positive impact that can be achieved through determination and unity.
The Larkfleet Group expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the community members, organisers, and all those who contributed to making this project a reality.
“We are immensely proud to have been part of this incredible journey, working hand in hand with the community to bring the Bourne skate park to life. The opening event on 20th August will stand as a testament to the power of collaboration, youth empowerment, and the positive impact of dedicated community initiatives,” said Karl Hick, CEO of Larkfleet Group.
