Phoenix Sustainable Investments is proud to have contributed to the restoration of Bourne’s historic Old Town Hall, which has recently secured a £3.3 million grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. This significant funding will enable the transformation of the 200 year old Grade II listed building into a vibrant cultural and community hub for the people of Bourne.

The restoration project, led by the Bourne Town Hall Trust, will see the historic clock tower reconstructed, the original clock recommissioned, and extensive internal renovations to enhance accessibility. Sustainability is at the heart of the design, with plans for improved insulation, solar panels, and heat pump technology to ensure environmental efficiency and support carbon neutrality.

Phoenix Sustainable Investments is committed to supporting initiatives that foster community development, heritage preservation, and sustainability. Our donation reflects our dedication to projects that make a lasting positive impact on local communities.

Karl Hick, CEO of Phoenix Sustainable Investments, said:

“We are delighted to support the restoration of Bourne’s Old Town Hall, a project that not only preserves a vital piece of our heritage but also creates a dynamic space for community engagement. At Phoenix, we believe in the power of sustainability and community, and this initiative perfectly embodies both values. We look forward to seeing the Town Hall thrive as a cultural hub for generations to come.”

Phoenix congratulates the Bourne Town Hall Trust on this remarkable achievement and is proud to have played a part in bringing this visionary project to life.
