Shaping tomorrow's community today

At Phoenix Sustainable Investment, we’re passionate about building a future that thrives on sustainable growth, community connectivity, and environmental stewardship. As Huntingdonshire and Peterborough City prepare new local plans to shape the future of the region through 2040, we’re committed to helping lead that transformation.

With the aspirations for “good growth,” commitments to high-quality design codes, and the legal obligations to achieve net-zero communities by 2035, there are big questions on the table:

  • What will the communities and enterprises of the future look like?

  • What commitments, principles, and behaviours do we need to adopt now to meet these aspirations collaboratively?

  • What mechanisms and policy approaches are required to best shape the opportunities of new local plans across Huntingdonshire and Peterborough?

The Phoenix Futures Programme: Driving positive change

Answering these important questions is at the heart of our Phoenix Futures Programme. This initiative brings together innovative and inquisitive minds from across the region through a series of workshops, all aimed at discussing critical topics like energy, education, housing, work, and community building.

Creating Connected Communities is the theme of our upcoming fourth Phoenix Futures Workshop. The workshop will focus on new transport technologies, decarbonisation and retrofit strategies, and overcoming intergenerational barriers to create communities that are both resilient and connected.
