Success in major government funding bid

SuSy house are pleased to announce after teaming up with Scroll Finance, a national financing company, the partnership secured over £158k in government funding for their innovative projects in a bid to decarbonise the UK by 2050.


On Friday, May 19 2023, the Government announced £4.1million had been awarded to innovative green finance projects across the UK. SuSy, partnered with Scroll Finance, won funding under the Green Home Finance Accelerator (GHFA), as part of the Net Zero Innovation Portfolio.

The partnership intends to develop an embedded finance technology solution that will be used for home retrofit decarbonisation projects.

The GLOCERS (Green Line of Credit Embedded in Retrofit Services) Project was successfully awarded £158,608 to scope, design and test end-to-end retrofit journeys embedded with an innovative and flexible financial product in three pilot areas across the UK.

Users of the SuSy House app will be able to finance energy efficient upgrades through the use of Scroll’s innovative flexible home equity release product to make retrofit upgrades financially achievable.

The funding comes as part of the Governments plans to decarbonise Britain to be at Net zero by 2050. GLOCERS aims to pilot consumer trials in early 2024.

Lord Callanan, Minister for Energy Efficiency and Green Finance said: “The government has put in place long-term commitments to ensure homes across the country have greater energy efficiency to reduce bills, drive down energy use and lower emissions. We are supporting these organisations to develop fresh and innovative ways of helping more people get better access to energy efficiency measures, such as loft insulation, double glazing, and heat pumps.”
